SEACOM launches Remote Peering service for African service provi

SEACOM, a Convergence Partners’ portfolio company, launched a new Remote Peering service, a product which bundles SEACOM connectivity with exchange point membership to provide operators and ISPs in Africa with a single point of contact for the management of their international peering requirements.

SEACOM has entered into partnerships with NAPAfrica, France-IX, LINX and AMS-IX to provide African customers with the ability to peer at these prominent exchange points without the high costs that ISPs would face doing it on their own.

By using the SEACOM Remote Peering service, operators and ISPs can manage peering sessions with several exchange points across a single local customer interface thereby minimising infrastructure costs and complexity. Scalability and volume discounts on capacity further ensure that customers are able to leverage an efficient connectivity solution, which allows them to differentiate their service offerings in the markets they serve.
