Convergence Partners releases latest research report on Africa’s
Convergence Partners released its latest research report titled: “Let my people go (online)”. The report details the significant changes in the African broadband landscape and resultant boom brought about by large scale investment in infrastructure in particular wireless broadband infrastructure.
The report evaluates the state of African broadband, discusses the impediments to widespread adoption and argues that the perceived spectrum scarcity on the Continent is a result of suboptimal allocation models. A case is also made for the development of innovative and effective spectrum regulation and introduction of spectrum trading to free up spectrum resources.
