Convergence Partners Foundation hosts members of the Siyabuswa Y
Convergence Partners Foundation is a strategic partner and benefactor of the Foundation for a Safer South Africa (FSSA) and its YouthZone project. In the context of this special relationship, Convergence employees hosted members of the Siyabuswa YouthZone on 23 July 2011, in a follow-up to Convergence’s earlier visit to the YouthZone in Mpumalanga.
The visit by members of the Siyabuswa YouthZone was aimed at showing them a few landmark sites in Johannesburg, as many people were visiting the big city for the first time, before watching a football game between Orlando Pirates and Tottenham Hotspurs.
The tour included many of Johannesburg’s historic and contemporary spots including Melrose Arch, Constitution Hill, FNB stadium, Hillbrow, downtown Johannesburg and passing by Nelson Mandela’s Houghton residence. The whole group was visibly excited by the highlight of the tour, watching SA’s most high profile pre-season tournament, the final soccer match between Orlando Pirates and Tottenham Hotspurs at Coca-Cola Park Stadium (Ellis Park). It was a great day out for all!
